Each patient is different, and therefore each orthodontic case is different. At your initial consultation, we can work up a treatment plan and give you an accurate estimate of the cost of your orthodontic care. We’ll also answer any questions you have so you can make the right decision for your situation.
Orthodontic care can sometimes help relieve TMJ pain. By correcting your bite, we can take tension off your TMJs, which are situated on either side of your head, and help your jaw feel better. During your consultation, we can discuss your TMJ pain and determine whether orthodontics or another type of treatment will work better for you.
The answer depends entirely on the individual and the type of orthodontic care they are receiving. Many of our SureSmile patients can complete their treatment in as few as 12 months. Patients using traditional braces will usually take at least two years. After your initial exam, we can give you a better estimate of how long your treatment will take.
