Isaacs Family Dental Health Protocols
We hope you and your family are doing well and in good health. Many things have changed and continue to change but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Infection control has always been a top priority at our practice. By adhering to rigorous disinfection protocols we have been delivering dentistry safely and comfortably for many years. We follow the guidelines and recommendations of ADA (American Dental Association), CDC (Center for Disease Control & Prevention) and OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) in regards to the current pandemic.
We have invested in a Surgically Clean Air purification system for patient and staff care. Hospitals, medical labs, dental clinics, and surgery centers throughout North America are using Surgically Clean Air Purifiers to improve the quality of their indoor air. These world-class medical-grade air purifiers remove chemicals, toxins, germs, odors, and most importantly they kill airborne viruses, to help reduce the spread of illness.

As we resume operations, you will notice some changes around our office in implementing guidelines and recommendations. Here are some of these changes:
- You will receive a text from us a day before your appointment with a link to fill out a medical update form that is required before you are seen. If you cannot fill it out via text, please arrive 15 minutes early to fill it out in the office.
- If you have any changes to your insurance, please let us know before your appointment, especially before being seated. You may e-mail a copy of the card (front and back) to isaacsfamilydental@gmail.com.
- We ask to limit the number of people accompanying you to your appointment to help maintain a safe social distance for everyone. Our rooms are just spacious enough for two people: the patient and the doctor or assistant/hygienist.
- Please find appropriate childcare if you have an appointment but your little ones do not. We will have to reschedule your appointment if you cannot.
- If you and your child are being seen on the same day one after another, then another adult needs to be here to watch your child while you are getting treatment/cleaning until it is your child’s turn. Children are not to be unaccompanied without an adult in the lobby or left alone in cars. If there is no one accompanying you and your child, your appointments will be rescheduled.
- We ask that only the patient who has scheduled treatment/cleaning be in their designated room. A parent/spouse/guardian may come back and get the patient settled into their room, but once treatment/cleaning starts, we will ask that they wait in the lobby. This is to minimize infection risk by socially distancing and minimizing the number of people in the rooms.
- If you require an antibiotic before your treatment, PLEASE remember to take it one hour prior.
- We do require at least a 24-hour notice to cancel any appointment to avoid any cancellation fee.
These are only some examples. There are other precautions being taken as well. We just don’t want to inundate you with all the details. Taking these extra steps and precautions will help create a safer environment for the patient, the staff and all the people coming to our office.
We thank you all for your patience, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We know it is a lot, but we are just looking out for you, our patients, and our staff.
