If you feel confident about your smile that can change how you feel about yourself and how others feel about you. So if you are embarrassed by tooth stains, it’s time to do something about it. We’re sharing a few key tips to help you prevent and eliminate stains on your teeth. It’s time to enjoy a sparkling white grin!

  1. Cut down on the foods and beverages causing the stains.

There are a few major foods and beverages that lead to staining on your teeth. One of the easiest ways to avoid discoloration is to cut back on items such as:

  • Coffee
  • Wine
  • Berries
  • Tomato sauces
  • Soy sauce
  • Sports drinks
  1. Rinse your mouth after consuming staining foods and beverages.

If you can’t resist any of those items listed above, make sure you rinse out your mouth after enjoying a cup of coffee. However, avoid brushing your teeth right after. Doing so can actually damage your enamel. So wait at least 30 minutes before you brush your teeth.

  1. Drink through a straw.

One easy way to avoid directly staining your teeth is to drink through a straw. It helps the liquid bypass your teeth so it doesn’t stain it so much.

  1. Cut out tobacco.

If you use tobacco products in any way, it can lead to staining on your teeth. Not to mention, tobacco can increase your risk of oral cancer and other health problems. So not only will you be doing your teeth a favor, you’ll be doing your whole body a favor by cutting out this bad habit.

  1. Brush twice a day and floss at least once.

Regular oral hygiene habits can help keep stains off your teeth. Timing is everything though! Wait at least 30 minutes up to an hour after eating to avoid damaging your enamel. Ideally, brush your teeth before eating or drinking anything besides water. This can actually help you avoid stains. By brushing your teeth, you remove bacteria that can cause stains to cling to your teeth.

One easy way of eliminating stains is by getting your teeth whitened ! We offer a teeth whitening kit that you can take home with you. It will allow you to brighten your teeth to the level you want to see.
